Making a difference

In an effort to best serve the people of Baja California, we engage in three areas of focus including eradicating homelessness, providing belonging for abandoned children, and aiding disparaged women.

Not your average service project

Spark of Hope service trips will change the way your family, group, or company looks at service. Each trip is an immersive, multi-day adventure during which you will develop new skills, experience Mexican culture, make lifelong friends and become more centered. All trips are expertly planned to make sure that your experience is safe, challenging, and enjoyable.
"We absolutely LOVE Spark of Hope. The environment is amazing. My kids and I learn so much from the experience of serving and loving the people of Mexico. We’ve been 3 times and can’t wait to go again. ❤️" Melody Proudfit - Peoria, Arizona (pictured left)

Take your family on the trip of a lifetime.
Founded on hard work, sacrifice and teamwork, Spark of Hope service trips will quickly become your family's favorite vacations. These trips are for full families (ages 8 and older) working together. You will see a difference in your children the very first day, and you will feel the closeness of your family increase.
"My wife, two daughters and I had a fantastic experience on the Spark of Hope Foundation trip we participated in this past May. Not only were we able to help build a home for a really neat family, we spent a ton of quality time together as a family and with friends, ate a bunch of delicious food, and had some truly powerful spiritual experiences during our time in Mexico. Brad and Kim were amazing hosts went above and beyond to ensure that everyone enjoyed themselves. We're already planning a trip for 2020 and look forward to many more in the years to come." Chris Ray - Peoria, Arizona
Make new friends on both sides of the border.
Young single adult trips are designed for single adults ages 18-29. You will leave with lasting relationships and incredible experiences. We will spend 3 days building homes and visiting an orphanage. We also take an excursion to La Bufadora and Ensenada.
"Reality checks are what keep us humble in life. Seeing the conditions people live in  and seeing how we improve them is absolutely breath taking. This was and continues to be an incredible experience! You can see the real value and impact you add to people’s lives right in front of your eyes." Jakob Ambuehl - Alpine, Utah
Build Team Unity around a cause you can believe in.
Spark of Hope Foundation organizes and runs Corporate Team Building service trips.
These trips are a unique and effective way to build team loyalty, learn the power of working together and to build individual character in team members. This learning occurs naturally as team members work together in building a home. Teams learn far more effectively in contrast to studying concepts in a classroom environment. These Corporate Team Building Trips are 3 days long and are filled with authentic Mexican food, accommodations, entertainment and hard work serving those in need.
"It was great to be able to be a part of building a new home for Maria and her family! The last few days were challenging and amazing all at the same time. I will always remember their happy smiling faces! Thanks for putting this together and allowing us to be a part of it. For me it was a very humbling experience and one that I will never forget!!" Gary Anderson - Vivint Inc.

Family Reunion Trip
"In June 2017 our Family Reunion was held in Tijuana, Mexico. We were privileged to be a part of Spark of Hope Foundation's project for building homes for our friends in need in Tijuana.  We were able to work together to complete a home with all of the finishing inside and out ...   It was a duplex where a lady and her son were to live on one side and her daughter and family live on the other.   They were so thrilled and grateful.  It was so much fun to see my grandsons and granddaughters and their parents all sanding, painting, cleaning, laying floor, roofing, etc. together.  We worked long hours finishing tired and satisfied.  We stayed in the wonderful facility “Chispa” where we had bunkbeds, were fed delicious food, ... and played fun games like "Signs". Everyone left Mexico feeling closer together and closer to our Brothers andSisters who live South of the Border from us.  We all loved it and want to return again."
