Service Trips

What to expect

lasting relationships

"Not only have we had great fun on the trips, but we have worked side by side, strengthened family bonds, made lasting friendships on both sides of the border, and have had experiences that have made us better people." Dave Kono

"This was life-changing for our family.  We lived among Mexico’s poorest and fell in love with them.  Our kids wondered how people so poor could be so happy. American strangers became life-long friends in just 4 days." Reed Hainsworth

A safe environment

"The environment is fun, challenging but safe, very uplifting, perfect for turning strangers into close friends, organized with a good amount of unexpected Mexican chaos thrown in."

Volunteer surveys give  Spark of Hope Service trips a 9.4 out of 10 for safety.

hard work!

"Brad has lots of positive energy and really connected with my kids.  It was also a very humbling experience to interact so closely with the people living there.  My kids wanted to work, especially after interacting with the families we were helping!" Jeni

"We have gone on several spark of hope trips and have had amazing experiences! We have teenagers and they love doing the work, connecting with the kids who live in Mexico - whether they know the language or not - they seem to have no problem communicating. We feel connected for life to people we’ve built homes for. A+++++ experience! 💛" Andrea Graves
